Answer: (a) Rs. 25,000
Description: Sales day book records the credit sales of the business. When some amount is recovered from debtors, the following journal entry is made:
Cash A/c Dr.
To Debtors A/c
Amount recovered from debtors does not effect the Sales Day Book hence the amount of Rs. 25,000 shall be transferred from sales day book. Rs. 5,000 recovered from debtors will not effect the Sales Day Book.
