Question: How to find that tools work well with your existing system?

Answer: I think we need to do a market research on various tools depending on the type of application we are testing. Say we are testing an application madein VB with an Oracle Database, then Winrunner is going to give good results. But in some cases it may not , say ur application uses a lots of 3rd party Grids and modules which have been integrated into the application. So it depends on the type of application u r testing.

Also we need to know wot sort of testing will be performed. If u need to test the performance, u cannot use a record and playback tool, u need a performance testing tool such as Loadrunner.
