Question: What is the difference between microprocessor and microcontroller?
Answer: In Microprocessor more op-codes, few bit handling instructions. But in Microcontroller: fewer op-codes, more bit handling Instructions, and also it is defined as a device that includes micro processor, memory, & input / output signal lines on a single chip.

microcontrollers memory is in built where as in mp the motherboard can be externally interfaced. acess time is less is less in mc , acesss time is more in mp. reliability is more in case of mc. Source: CoolInterview.com
