Answer: In a manufacturing company diffrent shops they will send docket for the no. of hours they are worked. We feed the docket and have to prepare the labour cost ledger. Material accounting section will provide information regading the material consumed so we have to prepare material cost ledger. Finally we have to prepare cost ledger by combining material and labour cost.
