“A software developer is required to develop a software which is supposed to run 24x7x365. Incidentally, as per the specification,
every night, the software should automatically shutdown at 3:00 am in the morning and start-up at 4:00 am in the morning,
i.e. the software should not be operational between 3:00 am and 4:00 am. The software developer claims to have developed
this feature. The developer is not willing to demonstrate how he/she has tested it. As a software tester you are responsible for testing this
behavior and verifying that indeed the software works as it claims. One solution is for you to be awake whole night and test it.
But you are in no mood to try this out. What are other ways in which you can achieve this. Discuss.”
