Question:
What is machine cycle, instruction cycle and T-state?
Answer:
Machine Cycle:The necessary steps to a fetch,a read or a write operation constitute a Machine cycle.
Instruction Cycle:The necessary steps that a CPU carries out to fetch an instruction and necessary data from the memory, and to execute it constitute an Instruction Cycle.
T-state:One sub-division of an operation performed in one clock cycle is called a T-state. Source: CoolInterview.com

Machine cycle- Machine cycle is defined as the time required to complete the one operation. It includes of 3-6 T-states. Instruction cycle- It is defined as the time required to complete the execution of an instruction.8085 instruction cycle consist of 1-6 machine cycle. T-state- It is defined as subdivision of d operation performed in One clock period. Source: CoolInterview.com

machine cycle_ :: the total work in fetching, read and write operation is machine cycle.
instruction cycle-:: total time taken to completely execute any instruction.
T-state-:: work done in one clock pulse Source: CoolInterview.com

;INSTRUCTION CYCLE= AN INSTRUCTION CYCLE IS DEFINED AS THE TIME REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE EXECUTION OF AN INSTRUCTION .BASICALLY THE 8085 USES ONE TO FIVE MACHINE CYCLE
;MACHINE CYCLE= MACHINE CYCLE IS DEFINED AS THE TIME REQUIRED TO COMPLETE ANY OPERATION OF ACESSING EITHER MEMORY OR I/O WHICH IS THE SUBPARTS OF AN THE INSTRUCTION. IN 8085 THE MACHINE CYCLE MAY CONSIST THE THREE TO SIX T STATES
;T-STATES= THE SUBDIVISION OF AN OPERATION WHICH IS PERFORMED IN ONE CLOCK PERIOD IS CALLED AS T-STATES Source: CoolInterview.com
